As part of their efforts to promote women’s health awareness, the Palestinian Association for Care and Development, in cooperation with Dunya Center, organized an awareness session entitled “Menopause,” delivered by nurse and community health educator Shireen Ghanim.
The session explored the meaning of menopause and its main causes, focusing on the physical and psychological symptoms women may experience during this stage of life. It also addressed practical ways to manage these changes and reduce their impact on women’s daily lives.
Shireen Ghanim highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy, balanced diet and taking care of women’s mental and emotional well-being. She also emphasized the value of psychological and social support in helping women navigate this stage with greater awareness and confidence.
The session further stressed the importance of regular medical check-ups to help detect potential health conditions early and ensure timely treatment, contributing to better health and quality of life for women.
This activity forms part of the Palestinian Association for Care and Development’s ongoing efforts to promote health education, raise community awareness, and encourage women to take care of their physical and psychological well-being, in cooperation with partner institutions.
