The Palestinian Association for Care and Development is a charitable, non-profit organization based in Al-Amari Refugee Camp, dedicated to the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. It was founded by youth from the camp as part of the “Needs of the Camp Ideas” project under the Al-Amari Scout Group, operating within the framework of Al-Amari Youth Center.
The association aims to serve children and adults with disabilities and their families within the camp, striving to provide comprehensive rehabilitation programs, enhance their community participation, and improve their quality of life. It is officially licensed and operates under the supervision of the competent authorities, led by a Chairperson and a board of members.
Funding is partially generated through the medical and community services offered to individuals for nominal fees that cover operational costs, but the association relies heavily on grants and funding from local and international civil society institutions. This is done within a transparent financial framework to cover operational and service expenses.
An inclusive society that embraces persons with disabilities and provides them with equal opportunities for integration and active participation in all aspects of life.
