As part of its ongoing efforts to promote community awareness and support women’s issues, the Palestinian Association for Care and Development, in cooperation with the Working Women’s Union, organized an awareness session titled “Raising Awareness on Violence Against Women.”
The session targeted families of persons with disabilities as well as women from the camp community. It aimed to highlight the issue of violence against women, raise awareness about its different forms and its psychological and social impacts, and provide guidance on prevention and response mechanisms.
The session also included an interactive discussion with participants, allowing them to share experiences and perspectives while emphasizing the important role of families and the community in protecting women and fostering a supportive and safe environment.
This activity comes as part of a series of awareness initiatives implemented by the association in partnership with community organizations, aiming to strengthen community awareness, empower women, and support families in building a more resilient and cohesive society.
