Printing and Designing Department
The Printing and Designing Department is one of the leading productive initiatives of the Palestinian Association for Care and Development, established in line with the association’s vision of promoting economic empowerment and fostering sustainable community development within Al-Amari Refugee Camp. This department forms part of the association’s broader strategy to create meaningful employment opportunities for camp residents, particularly persons with disabilities, by integrating them into a productive work environment that enhances their skills, confidence, and independence.
The department specializes in professional design, printing, and embroidery services on a wide range of products, including mugs, clothing, caps, bags, promotional materials, and customized gift items for individuals and institutions. All work is carried out according to high-quality standards using modern techniques and equipment. The designs often reflect Palestinian cultural identity and community values, while also meeting the practical needs of the local market.
Beyond its productive function, the department serves as a hands-on training and vocational rehabilitation space for beneficiaries. Participants develop technical and creative skills, gain practical work experience, and learn essential professional values such as teamwork, responsibility, discipline, and commitment. This structured environment strengthens their readiness for future integration into the labor market and supports their journey toward financial independence.
From a sustainability perspective, the department plays an important role in supporting the association’s operational continuity. A portion of the revenue generated contributes directly to covering operational expenses, helping ensure the continuation of rehabilitation, educational, and social programs provided to the most vulnerable groups in the camp.
Through this initiative, the association presents a practical and impactful model that combines economic empowerment with humanitarian and community service, transforming assistance into productivity, challenges into opportunities, and beneficiaries into active contributors to their community.
