The Disabled persons Education Department at the Palestinian Association for Care and Development represents one of the core pillars of the association’s rehabilitation and educational services. The department provides a comprehensive and structured educational program specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of children with disabilities, following an organized daily schedule of classes tailored to each child’s individual abilities and developmental level.
The program combines academic, rehabilitative, and recreational components to ensure holistic child development. Daily lessons include core subjects such as Mathematics, Arabic language, and life skills, alongside creative activities such as arts, crafts, and drawing, which help enhance fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression. In addition, the program incorporates adapted physical education and sports activities aimed at improving physical fitness, coordination, balance, and overall motor development in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Beyond classroom learning, the department organizes recreational trips, educational visits to community institutions, and cultural and heritage-based activities within a well-structured annual plan. These activities strengthen social interaction, community engagement, and national identity while supporting the children’s psychological well-being. A healthy and appropriate morning breakfast is also provided daily, carefully considering the specific nutritional needs of children with disabilities to support their health, concentration, and energy levels throughout the day.
